Q: Why FlipTea? A: Because you want to make and drink tea in one convenient and portable cup... at home or on the go! Add your favorite flavors and sweeteners to make a custom FlipTeani!
Q: Can I put hot water directly in it? A: Yes. The cup is insulated, so your hands will stay cool even though the water is hot.
Q: Can I put it in the microwave? A: We don't recommend it. If you choose to do so, please make sure you remove the metal lid and strainer compartment, and be careful not to overheat the water.
Q: What is the best way to open the cup after steeping? A: Turn the cup upright. Prior to opening, hold it at an angle and allow any tea in the steeping compartment to flow into the drinking cup. When drained, open by turning the center ring, not the lid.
Q: Can I wash it in the dishwasher? A: We recommend cleaning with mild, soapy water and a soft cloth. If you use a dishwasher, place in the upper rack. Dishwashing might discolor the cup.
Q: But I prefer Iced Tea. A: Steep your tea in FlipTea, then pour over ice to enjoy the best-tasting, freshest iced tea you've had in forever. Q: Can I use FlipTea with loose leaves? A: Absolutely! Your leaves will be contained in the strainer compartment for multiple steeps and easy clean-up.
Q: Can I use FlipTea with my favorite bagged tea? A: Of course! You'll love the steep control.
Q: Can I add flavorings directly to the cup? A: We encourage you to do so, and to email us your favorite recipes. Place sugar, lemon slices, mint or other herbs into the cup or strainer compartment and steep as usual. Custom-brew your own FlipTeaniTM! A FlipTeaniTM is our version of a healthy martini: add fun ingredients, flip to merge flavors, and serve "neat" or over ice.
Q: How many cups of tea will the Gift Tin make? A: Our gift tin comes with 6 single-servings of high-quality loose-leaf tea. Each single-serving of leaves can be steeped up to 4 times... up to 2 gallons, or 10 "Venti's!"
Q: Where can I find good FlipTeaniTM recipes? A: Friend us on Facebook to find yummy FlipTeaniTM recipes and to add your own. Some examples include Mojito FlipTeaniTM (mint and sugar), Cosmopolitan FlipTeaniTM (dried cranberries), Lemondrop FlipTeaniTM (fresh lemon and sugar).
